Summer School Dates: Elementary and Middle: June 10-July 12, Mon-Thurs.

High School: June 10- July 17 Mon-Thurs.

Summer School positions require an additional 10 hours for Orientation and Open House. Middle School Orientation is scheduled for June 4 & 6 and Open House will be held on June 6 from 5:30pm-7pm.

The Title I home school communicator provides support, education, and resource referrals to students and families. The Title I home school communicator will provide interventions to students and perform therapeutic services to individual students and their families to assist with social and emotional concerns related to their educational and social progress. The Title I home school communicator will provide consultation and support to staff.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Master’s degree and social worker’s license (LCSW), master’s degree and counseling license (LPC), or counseling certificate issued by Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE)

Preferred Master’s degree and social worker’s license (LCSW) with school social work experience

1st Year Home School Communicators  in the Hazelwood Summer School program, will earn $24 per hour.
Home School Communicators in their 2nd consecutive year with the Hazelwood Summer School program, will earn $26 per hour. 

Home School Communicators with 3+ consecutive years with the Hazelwood Summer School program, will earn $28 per hour.

Summer employment is contingent upon enrollment.
